Back in 2010 I was one of the press cadre invited to the BRP Headquarters in Valcourt, Quebec, to view the then all-new Can-Am Spyder RT. Of course I had been privileged to have previous knowledge of the RT, being as I was somewhat involved in the gestation process of the marque, but still a lot of what was revealed this day was new to me also. Especially when we were escorted into the bowels of the Innovation and Design Center, to see the original prototypes of the very first Spyders, dating back to around 2005.
This video is pretty rough, as I was trying to film with a tiny point-and-shoot pocket camera as I walked, but still I think a lot of people might find it interesting as it shows a behind-the-scenes view of how the Spyder first came to be, filmed in an area normally off limits to the public.
Hope you enjoy it….
